The page requests current positions from the local backend. The backend calls eToro over HTTPS and returns a reduced holdings payload without exposing API credentials to visitors.

Source: eToro gain endpoint. Current-year YTD uses eToro yearly gain when available, otherwise compounded monthly gains.

The Flask proxy posts to eToro's live portfolio endpoint and returns a reduced holdings payload. API credentials remain on the server so visitors never handle or receive them.
